commission Information

for all of you who have reached out asking for commissions

I’ve been taking on some bigger projects these days and realized to my surprise that I like working in bigger sets so I am going to be opening up a few slots every couple of months for commissions - I’m limiting the amount because otherwise it gets too chaotic. The details are as follows:

  1. I’ll list a few commission slots online and then announce them to my email list. There will be options of plate sets, pitcher sets, serving bowls and mug sets, things that are hard to sell on my online updates since I try to space things out so more people can get things.

  2. To reserve the slot, a 50% deposit is charged (not including shipping which will be worked out at the end - though I can give you an estimate at the beginning if needed).

  3. After securing the slot, an email will be sent, asking you for information about the set you would like, i.e. colour, imagery, etc. (please send reference pictures from my instagram or website to give me some visual cues :)

  4. I’ll return with a sketch of my plan for your piece(s) and you, dear commissioner, will either approve or give me tips to get it closer to your dream set.

  5. I’ll set about the creation of this work - giving 6 weeks for production.

a few notes:

  1. If you’re familiar with my work, you know that each piece is hand-made and that looseness and drawing is the main project here - so even matching sets will vary to some extent because variation is my queen.

  2. I’d love for you to send me any and all references of what you’d like me to think about while making your set for you but remember that it will all be filtered through my maggie-shaped brain and will look like my work. It’s the only thing my maggie-shaped hands can do.

  3. If you are hoping for something different than the options I have listed, please email at hello@maggieboydceramics.com and we can talk. Thanks for reading this! I’m excited to work in this way a little bit more these days :)
