True Story: I was driving back from a wood firing and had been up for almost 24 hours and it was pitch black on a country road. I was barely keeping my eyes open and still needed to drive for another thirty minutes. Just then, an owl swooped down into the middle of the road, spread its wings and made very stern, maternal eye contact with me. I slammed on the brakes and as I slowed I was able to swerve gently around the unfathomable creature. Needless to say there was adrenaline coursing through my veins— an absolute gift! And precisely the psychic fuel needed to get me safely to my destination. And ever since I say: when you see and owl, make a little bow.

*This cup is made of cone 10 porcelain and holds approximately 10 oz. The work is all handmade and considered a waterproof drawing that you can lick.  Possessing it bonds us by way of energetic umbilical cord, for better or for worse. Handwashing encouraged but these guys have made it through dishwashers with the usual wear and tear but no more than usual.
