I used to have these wild dreams right before falling asleep that were not exactly dreams but a sort of sound collage that I think I had collected throughtout the day and then came back to play in random bursts that would throw me back into being awake for a groggy few more minutes. These tumblers reminded me of those experiences and are maybe the visual version of the original sleep interrupters.
