I’ve wanted to do this for so long

Like keeping a sourdough culture alive and knowing all the different tree types, having a print series is something I have wanted to do for a long time. And now it starts! I’m hoping to do limited release signed prints here on my site monthly or bi-monthly (let’s be real) for your owning pleasure. Thankfully, I have teamed up with printer extraordinaire, Keegan Mills-Cook of The Circadian Press in Brooklyn, NY, so you know he’s doing the quality work for us. And so without further ado, may I present the first in the print series:

Danse Russe

So, we’re starting it off with an old MB classic because I’ve had a lot of requests for prints of it. It is a drawing based on one of my all time favourite poems called “Danse Russe” by William Carlos Williams, which is about the beauty of dancing naked by yourself in front of the mirror when everyone else is asleep and the sun is a flame-white disc in silken mists. If you haven’t read it, oh boy, go take that one in - you won’t be sorry.

Each one is an 11 x 17 risograph printed on 80# Superfine Coverstock and signed by me - so hopefully I get really famous for inventing cheese yarn (thicker than cheese string!) and you can flip it one day. This is the first in the series of prints I will be offering printed in collaboration with Circadian Press and I am really excited about finally doing this thing that I’ve wanted to do for so long!

notes on shipping - these will be shipped flat and when you get to the checkout make sure to pick the “PRINT SHIPPING” option because it’s a lot cheaper than the ceramic shipping option. If you make a mistake and accidentally pick the wrong option though I will refund you because it’s very easy to get confused in the digital realm.
